How can we help?

Include the app, version, Apple device and the action you were taking. Never attach a real meeting bundle or transcript to a public issue.

Report a bug

Use the public issue tracker for reproducible product problems without private meeting content.

Privacy question

Read how each platform processes, stores, exports and deletes recording data.

Read the privacy policy

Microphone or Speech permission is unavailable

Open Settings in Recognizing and review the permission status. On Mac, use System Settings → Privacy & Security. On iPhone or iPad, open the system Settings page for Recognizing Captions. Quit and reopen the app only after an active recording has been stopped and saved.

The first local speech model takes time

Apple manages speech assets per language. Keep the device connected to power and the internet while preparing the selected language, then retry after the model reports that it is ready.

Delete local data

Use the per-recording delete action for one meeting, or Settings → Delete All Local Data for Recognizing-owned content. Deletion cannot remove a copy you previously exported or text already sent to a cloud provider you configured.

Recording consent

Recognizing cannot determine whether a conversation may legally be recorded. Inform participants and obtain any consent required by the laws and policies that apply to you.
